Climate change is becoming an increasingly urgent concern on all fronts, including cultural heritage, as more extreme weather events are affecting existing structures and activities happening around us. However, the relationship between climate change and cultural heritage has not been fully explored or considered given that the links between climate change and cultural heritage have only been made recently. This talk will consider the links made between cultural heritage and climate change in international conventions and declarations and discuss the existing gaps in knowledge that need to be addressed in this area.
