The Mrabri: Anthropometric Genetic, and Medical Examinations
This paper describes the study of the Mrabri at Ban Khun Sathan in Nan Province, employing medical approaches such as blood and physical examinations on a sample of 18 Mrabri men. The objective was to gather data regarding their ethnicity, ascertaining whether the Mrabri represent an ancient Mongoloid population that migrated to the region thousands of years ago, or if they have any affiliation with Negrito groups. Additionally, the study aimed to investigate the plausibility of the legend claiming the Mrabri descended from slaves released into the jungle by the Prince of Nan.
