This article aims to study the factors that contribute to the cultural heritage of Songkran traditions of the Mekong River cultural group, which consists of Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam. The study showed that the factors causing the cultural heritage among these countries consisted of geographic, economic and social and cultural factors. These factors cause the cultural diffusion of the countries in the Mekong River region which, as driven by globalization, has spread even faster among these countries.
