This paper presenting the result of the life and works of Nornapaknam as the “National Artist” of Thailand. Found that the works of Nornapaknam has the important to create the Thai identity in history. And many the works of Nornapaknam classify in the importance of the Thai Art history and Archeology. The participationto the academic debates in historical problems. By used evidence from the ruins and antiquesfor fills the missing from the studies of History and Archeology in Thailand. With simple method and guidelines, in the example of the expeditions data from local places. And in that travel, Nornapaknam when saw the condition of the ruins and antiques in local Thailand do not care by the state and peoples. He is often into public complaints for the peoples as return it to get attention. He has commented that the art of nation; including works of antecedents that are inherited from the past. But the fact that the definition of art such place and under the historical existence of a nation state. And he was praised a "national artist" under such conditions. This study about the life and works of Nornapaknam will has contribution to reveals the relationship between the arts and the historical ideas about the interpretation and used the ancient history in the Thai nation state cultural society.
