Types of projects that are considered for funding :
The Japan Foundation, Bangkok carries out its grant programs in the three major areas of Arts and Cultural Exchange, Japanese Studies and Intellectual Exchange, as well as Japanese-Language Education. Successful applicants are provided with grants, research scholarships, Japanese-Language training programs, and other forms of support.
We offer two types of grant programs as follows:
1) Headquarters’ Programs The programs are directly operated and handled by our headquarters office. Their programs are wider in variety and bigger in amounts than the JFBKK small grant program but calls for the applications are only once or twice a year. For these programs, the Japan Foundation, Bangkok functions as a liaison office to transfer your applications (from Thailand) to our headquarters office.
2) JFBKK Small Grant Programs The programs are operated and handled by ourselves (the Japan Foundation, Bangkok). Calls for the applications are more frequent and flexible than the Headquarters’ Programs but the scale of the grant in amounts is relatively small.
