In this article, Netiwit Chotiphatphaisal and Settanant Thanakitkoses address the issue of how redevelopment projects have been causing historic buildings to disappear and the failure of the state and institutional landowners to protect these buildings valued by the public through the case of the Mazu Shrine in Sam Yan.
