The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage is deeply humbled and delighted to be selected as one of the recipients of Thailand’s Public Diplomacy Award 2024 which was established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand Foundation in 2022 to honour individuals, groups, or organisations who have significantly contributed to enhancing the reputation, prestige, image, and popularity of Thailand, ‘Thainess’ and Thai people among the international community.

Following the important and long-standing role of The Siam Society for over 120 years in preserving and promoting Thai cultural heritage, The Siam Society is recognised for its commitment to be a hub of knowledge-sharing and mission to promote knowledge of the culture, history, arts, and natural sciences of Thailand and neighbouring countries among foreigners, while also encouraging researchers to continuously produce new knowledge in the academic field. Moreover, The Siam Society serves as a bridge that connects people from various cultures and different organisations through its role as a platform for exchanging knowledge between Thais and foreigners.
