The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage, in collaboration with XSpace Gallery, is pleased to present the art exhibition “Wastheritage: The Ephemeral Value” by Asst. Prof. Eggarat Wongcharit as part of Bangkok Climate Action Week.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eggarat Wongcharit is a visionary artist who challenges our perceptions of value and worth. Through his thought-provoking works, he explores the intersection of waste and heritage, highlighting the ephemeral nature of value in a world where today’s trash may become tomorrow’s treasure. Born out of the COVID-19 pandemic’s isolation, his art reflects on the human experience, encouraging us to rethink our relationship with the objects we discard and the legacy we leave behind. With a unique blend of creativity and social commentary, Eggarat’s art invites us to ponder the future’s past and the value of what we consider worthless.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the inaugural Bangkok Climate Action Week, Eggarat’s futuristic relics will be shown on the grounds of The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage, from the auditorium to the library, alongside the display of treasured cultural artefacts and works of traditional craftsmanship.<\/span><\/p>\n
