The Siam Society Literary Lounge this month invites you to join a discussion with Dr Ponpavi Sangsuradej, lecturer in the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University, whose academic interests lie in the postcolonial history of Southeast Asia within the context of globalisation. Dr Ponpavi will explore the idea of internationalism from the perspective of states in the Global South, a concept that emerged during the period of decolonisation and the early Cold War era. Participants will also have the chance to view rare archival materials from The Siam Society Library, showcasing the historical relations among nations of the Global South.<\/p>\n
