Jun Komatsu, Piano\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0Native to Japan, Jun Komatsu has been an active pianist in Thailand\u2019s music scene. Jun has also performed in Japan, Italy, the USA, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong. In Bangkok, she has performed as a soloist with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Bangkok Charity Orchestra, the Feroci Philharmonic Winds and the Chulalongkorn University Symphony Orchestra.<\/span><\/p>\n

She has also been invited to perform with the ASEAN-Japan Festival Orchestra to celebrate the 120<\/span>th<\/span> Anniversary of Japan-Thai diplomatic relations. As a collaborative pianist, Jun has appeared in numerous concerts in Thailand with international performers. She is also featured in several recordings, including John Zorn\u2019s \u201cAngelus Novus\u201d, Dnu Huntrakul\u2019s \u201cA Time in Bangkok\u201d, and \u201cChanson d\u2019Amour\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

As a founding member of \u201cContemporary Ensemble KAI\u201d in Japan, Ms Komatsu collaborates with composers and premieres new compositions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jun received her Bachelor of Music in piano performance from Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, and a Master of Music and Graduate Diploma in piano performance with honours at the New England Conservatory in Boston, USA.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her teachers include Seiko Seki, Gabriel Chodos and Patricia Zander. Ms Komatsu has won several competitions, including the International Chamber Music Competition \u201cPalma d\u2019Oro\u201d in Italy and the Kanagawa Competition in Japan. She has also participated in the Tanglewood Music Festival as a fellow, where she studied with Emanuel Ax and Peter Serkin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jun has served as a guest chamber music instructor for Silpakorn Summer Music School as well as a guest lecturer at many universities in Thailand. She has also been regularly invited as the adjudicator of local piano competitions. The scope of her work now includes the position of the Artistic Director of the Collaborative Piano Camp Thailand (CPCT), an annual music camp which began in the summer of 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, Ms Komatsu is the Head of Piano Studies at the Triniti Music Institute in Bangkok and regularly holds training courses and seminars for local piano teachers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adam Satinsky, Cello<\/b><\/p>\n


<\/b>Adam Satinsky has spent the majority of his professional career\u201426 years\u2014as principal cellist of the Naples Philharmonic in Florida. Satinsky was lauded in his role both as leader of his section and as soloist with the orchestra. He performed many different concerti during his tenure, including the Beethoven Triple, Brahms Double, Shostakovich No. 1, Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations, Haydn’s C and D major, Schumann, Saint-Saens No. 1, Boccherini No. 2 in D major, and Elgar. He was a sought-after performer in concert series throughout the Naples area, including Big Arts (Sanibel Island) and Koreshan Art Hall Series (Estero).<\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>In his early years, Satinsky played in a string trio with two equally talented violinists, performing and competing in the greater Washington, D.C. area. The young musicians dubbed themselves the \u201cTrio Con Brio\u201d. He also attended the Interlochen Arts Camp for 3 summers, giving him his first opportunities to solo with an orchestra. His subsequent college degrees included a Bachelor\u2019s of Music from Eastman and an Artist\u2019s Diploma from Indiana University, with the latter performance-focused degree enabling him to devote all his time to absorbing the wisdom from the legendary Janos Starker.<\/span>

<\/span>Since the age of 14, he has added his unique signature musicianship to the summer festival scene in such scenic places as Boulder, CO; Teton Village, WY; Bellingham, WA; Marlboro, VT; Aspen, CO; Ernen, Switzerland; and Banff, Canada. More recently, he has helped establish two new chamber music festivals\u2014one in the Lowcountry (in and around Beaufort, SC, and Savannah, GA) and another in North Miami Beach, held in the winter.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>He owns two magnificent cellos created by Christopher Dungey, a maker based in Grand Junction, Colorado, and a bow made by Thomas Goering. Satinsky has a second career as a restaurateur, opening multiple Thai Fusion restaurants with his wife.<\/span><\/p>\n
