To submit a contribution, kindly contact the managing editor, Dr Nicolas Revire, at <a href=\"mailto:journal@thesiamsociety.org\">journal@thesiamsociety.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please adhere to the following guidelines when preparing your submission:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article Length<\/strong>: Articles should generally not exceed 8,000 words.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Book Reviews<\/strong>: They should not normally exceed 2,000 words. The editors commission book reviews, and do not usually accept unsolicited reviews.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Figures<\/strong>: A maximum of 15 figures is permitted for each article. Authors must obtain approval from owners or copyright holders for material not their own.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Formatting<\/strong>: Submit articles in MS-Word (*.doc, *.docx) using Times New Roman font (or Leelawadee for Thai script), point size 12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstracts<\/strong>: Include an English abstract of fewer than 200 words with all article submissions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Style Guide<\/strong>: Follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagomanualofstyle.org\/\"><em>Chicago Manual of Style<\/em><\/a> or a similar readily available online resource. Prefer American English spelling and style.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Citation Style<\/strong>: Use in-text citations with the author\/date system (e.g., Baker &amp; Pasuk 2013: 218\u2013220) and footnotes for longer citations or additional information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reference List<\/strong>: List all cited references at the end of the articles. Bangkok: River Books &amp; The Siam Society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.15px;\">Thai Language<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px; letter-spacing: -0.15px;\">: Encourage the use of the Thai language and references in Thai script.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Transcription<\/strong>: Transcribe Thai words using the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Royal_Thai_General_System_of_Transcription\">Royal Thai General System of Transcription<\/a> (RTGS) and follow official place names provided by the Royal Society of Thailand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Consistency<\/strong>: Maintain consistent spelling of Thai proper names and geographical names according to local or common, current usage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clarifications<\/strong>: If in doubt, seek clarification from the managing editor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proofreading<\/strong>: Non-native English speakers should have their articles proofread by a native speaker before submission.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission Process<\/strong>: Non-solicited articles will be initially screened by the managing editor for language, content, and scope.
