The purpose of this research was to 1) study the role of the Cultural Council in the operation of preserving and preserving the intangible cultural heritage. 2) Studying the obstacles and problems of the Cultural Council in the operation of preserving and preserving the cultural heritage. 3) To study the guidelines for enhancing the capacity of the Cultural Council to operate the preservation and preservation of the intangible cultural heritage. This research is qualitative, use the Focus Group Discussion. The samples used in the study are 3 groups which are 1) Provincial culture 2) Director and academic group and 3) Provincial Cultural Council or Bangkok Cultural Council. From the Bangkok area, northern region, central region, northeast region Eastern and Southern. The research shows that the relevant laws are unclear. The role of the Cultural Council Works in a volunteer spirit As well as policies changing constantly Which must be solved by developing knowledge and personnel Develop processes and support operational tools for the Cultural Council Play a role in promoting the capacity of the Cultural Council to operate and preserve the intangible cultural heritage The Cultural Council is a person who has a good understanding of local cultural heritage. Should have a role in the registration of cultural heritage but still lacking knowledge understanding of the content of the law and lack of information. As well as clear and correct practices.
