On 26 February 2025, President Bilaibhan Sampatisiri welcomed Ms Svetlana Vorobieva, Deputy Director of the International Department, and Ms Anastasia Timofeeva, International Project Manager, from the Russian Geographical Society who came to hand over the Certificate of Honour from the President of the Russian Geographical Society to The Siam Society.

The delegation had a meeting afterwards with Mrs Somlak Charoenpot, Vice President, and Ms Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Council Member, to discuss future collaboration opportunities in order to continue the agreement between the two organisations signed in 2018 to cooperate in the development of scientific, geographic, and cultural fields.
