Heritage Now: Relevance & Community

The Siam Society recently had the opportunity to participate in the conference “Heritage Now: Relevance & Community” (INTO Dundee 2022), held in Dundee, United Kingdom from 4-6 October 2022.
Organised by International National Trusts Organisation (INTO), the conference highlighted the importance of people and purpose within heritage preservation, along with the relevance of communities in shaping the relationship between the two. It also explored emerging trends and best practises on roles that heritage can play in a post pandemic era.
On this occasion, we are also delighted to inform you that Ms Kanitha Kasina-Ubol, Managing Director of The Siam Society, who also served as our representative in the conference, was elected as an INTO Trustee by the governing board.
We’d like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to our friends and colleagues for their warm hospitality during our time in Dundee. We look forward to a continued collaboration with International National Trusts Organisation (INTO) and our partner heritage organisations in working towards the conservation of our built, natural, tangible and intangible heritage in the years ahead.
