Collaboration with Faculty of Architecture at Silpakorn University
On 7 July, 2022, The Siam Society had the opportunity to welcome faculty members and students from Silpakorn University. The visit forms an integral part of the joint collaboration between the Silpakorn University and The Siam Society from July to November 2022, as part of the studio project in conducting a trial experiment on landscape re-design for Master’s Degree students.
The delegation, led by Asst Prof Sineenart Sukolratanametee, was greeted by Khun Kanitha Kasina-Ubol, Managing Director of The Siam Society and was later given an interactive tour of the many historical buildings on our campus by Khun Euayporn Kerdchouay, Senior Consultant of The Siam Society.
The last phase of this project will allow students an opportunity to showcase their designs in the form of a public discussion, under the theme of “landscape management of architectural heritage in urban communities”, scheduled to take place this coming November.
We are happy to learn that this fruitful visit allowed the students to explore first-hand the usage and management of our space, which will significantly contribute towards the development of proposed guidelines for further improvement of our landscape in the months ahead.
