On Friday, 21 April 2023, His Excellency Mr Pavel Pitel, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Kingdom of Thailand paid a visit to The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage and was welcomed by President Bilaibhan Sampatisiri.

During the meeting, President Bilaibhan highlighted our mission of promoting the cultures, history, arts, and heritage conservation of Thailand and its neighbouring countries through our lectures, study trips, performances, exhibitions, and other activities. Both parties also discussed the possibility of collaboration between the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok and The Siam Society, including organising a music performance and the possibility of co-arranging a study trip to the Czech Republic.

As one of Thailand’s oldest cultural organisations, the Siam Society is delighted to collaborate with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok on its continuous goal to be the knowledge-sharing hub and to increase the awareness of cultural heritage conservation among people in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
