On 10 September 2024, President Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, and Dr Navamintr Vitayakul, Council Member and Chairperson of the Lecture Committee of The Siam Society, had the pleasure of welcoming HE Mrs Shirley Dennise Aguilar Barrera, Ambassador of Guatemala to Thailand and Mr Mauro Esteban Guzmán Castillo, Deputy Head of Mission, to The Siam Society.

Both sides discussed the possibility of working together between The Siam Society and the Embassy of Guatemala such as co-organising an exhibition and a lecture on Guatemalan textiles and also a possible study trip to Guatemala.

The Siam Society is very pleased to make the acquaintance of Her Excellency and we are truly looking forward to the collaboration of both organisations in the near future.
