From 21 to 23 June 2023, Ms Kanitha Kasina-Ubol, Managing Director of The Siam Society participated in the INTO Board of Trustees & Staff Exchanges in European Cultural Heritage Trusts at the Prague Conference with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

Through workshops, presentations, and masterclass with INTO Board, the conference focused on the challenges and opportunities of the National Trust model: How do we balance heritage protection, community engagement and building a sustainable business? How do we make our work more essential? And how do we welcome wider and more diverse audiences to our places?

The National Trust’s model can take many forms, but it has to serve the same purpose of preserving cultural and natural heritage. Being the only member of the International National Trusts Organisation (INTO) from Thailand and the only elected Trustee in Asia, The Siam Society would also like to see government in Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia improve their policies that relate with cultural and natural heritage preservation.
