On 17 May 2024, President Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, Vice President Somlak Charoenpot, and Ms Kanitha Kasina-Ubol, Managing Director, welcomed Ambassador Liliana Ferrer, Ambassador of Mexico to Thailand and Mr Miguel Angel George Cruz, Head of Cultural, Cooperation, Economic and Trade Promotion to The Siam Society.

The potential for cooperation between The Siam Society and the Embassy of Mexico was addressed by both sides such as co-organising The Siam Society’s study trip to Mexico and also for Mexican participants to come to Thailand. Ambassador Ferrer would also kindly assist us in connecting The Siam Society with other like-minded organisations in Mexico

As the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Mexico is taking place in 2025, The Siam Society hopes to help strengthen the ties between the two countries through the distribution of cultural knowledge and cultural collaboration.
