On Friday, 26 May 2022, Ms Kanitha Kasina-Ubol, Managing Director of The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage paid a visit to The Asia Foundation and had a meeting with Mr Thomas Parks, The Asia Foundation’s Country Representative in Thailand.

The Asia Foundation has been one of our distinguished and long-standing supporters for many decades by providing financial support to several publications of The Siam Society, to the construction of our old library which was The Society’s second building, and to the relocation and reconstruction of the Kamthieng House Museum.

During the meeting, both parties had a chance to strengthen our established relationship and we got to introduce The Society’s new online services and the work of the Siamese Heritage Trust and SEACHA. We also receive the opportunity to visit William J. Klausner Library inside The Asia Foundation’s compound.  Professor Klausner was a highly valued member of the Siam Society and was one of our important Honorary Members who had given tremendous support to the work of The Society during his lifetime.

Once again, we would like to extend our warmest gratitude to the constant support from The Asia Foundation and The Siam Society eagerly looks forward to our possible collaborations in the future.
