On Friday, 19 May, Mrs Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, The Siam Society President, together with Ms Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Council Member, Ms Kanitha Kasina-Ubol, Managing Director, and Ms Jarunee Khongswasdi called on the UAE Ambassador, HE Mr Obaid Bintaresh Alhdaheri, to introduce The Siam Society and Southeast Asian Cultural Heritage Alliance (SEACHA).

The meeting also discussed The Siam Society/SEACHA’s role as a Co-Chair, together with Petra National Trust (PNT) of Jordan, and in partnership with the Climate Heritage Network (CHN), in championing ‘Culture’ in UNFCCC COP28, which would also contribute to the success of UAE in hosting this important Meeting in Dubai this year. Mrs. Bilaibhan and His Excellency the Ambassador shared their common concerns on climate change issues and discussed the ways and means to utilise cultural wisdom to support climate change mitigation and adaptation.
