Heritage Matters: Important to invest in cultural assets

The Siam Society Under Royal Patronage is delighted to share with you today the sixteenth article from “Heritage Matters”, a monthly series aimed at identifying the challenges and opportunities of cultural heritage conservation published by The Siam Society in the Bangkok Post.

In this article, Mr Brian Mertens argues that Thailand is losing important heritage resources every year due to the outdated heritage conservation system and explores how the Thailand Biennale in Chiang Rai province is a great example of an event that can feature heritage more sensitively and demonstrates what Thailand’s heritage has to offer.
